Islamabad United finished at the top of the table with 16 points from the best possible result of 20. They are unbeaten in their last five matches and have stolen the show on the back of their phenomenal batting line-up.

In all essence, they were not fielding their strongest bowling attack – something which has been their speciality this season. Shahnawaz Dahani – the leading wicket-taker in the PSL 2021 with 20 wickets from nine games – was without the additional firepower on his side.

Batting wise, Mohammad Rizwan continues to impress as the leading batsmen in the team this side with Shoaib Maqsood and Shan Masood doing their part in supporting their captain.

The Sultans finished their group campaign in second place with 10 points from five wins. That said, they lost just one leg in the Abu Dhabi leg and have been just as consistent as Islamabad United.
