Happy New Year 2022
Art by Sheena Howarth welcomes in 2022

AGM – 20th January 2022
Droitwich Arts Network will hold its AGM on Zoom on Thursday 20th January at 7pm. As in last year, all papers would be emailed to members on Monday 17th January. These will include a chairman’s report, a financial report and a few words on membership. All committee members presently in place are willing to stand again but we do hope some of you will be interested in joining the committee – we will need your help as always, this coming year and even if you do not or cannot attend each month, there is plenty of scope for members to help with events etc.

Droitwich Spa Underpass Art Project
The Droitwich Underpass Art Project, led by Wychavon District Council, will transform seven underpasses across the town into outdoor pieces of artwork. The aim is to promote local pride by celebrating the community and history of the town, as well as improve the look and feel of these sites.

Art on Droitwich Station
The Friends of the Droitwich Spa Railway Station have decided that the most effective way to improve the look of the station, apart from the wonderful planters which are now in place, is to install relevant art work. Helen is responsible for organising this and says “The idea is to celebrate the heritage of Droitwich and also incorporate elements of travel”. If any DAN members are interested in having work displayed on the station, they need to send sketches, photos etc. of their proposed work to Tina Watkins before 5th January 2022.
